Prof. Julie L. Sutcliffe Ph.D, FAIMBE, FSNMMI is the Founder and CEO of Luminance Biosciences Inc.
A long career from bench to bedside extends from pioneering work in the design and synthesis of targeted molecular imaging and therapeutic agents through to patent protection, clinical development, and commercialization.
The sponsor of seven INDs, Prof. Sutcliffe also serves as the Principal Investigator of 6 active clinical trials.
Prof. Sutcliffe is a Fellow of the Society of Nuclear Medicine and Molecular Imaging and a Fellow of the American Institute for Medical and Biological Engineering.
Continuing to advance the field, Prof. Sutcliffe is Professor of Biomedical Engineering and Internal Medicine at the University of California Davis where she leads a multidisciplinary translational research team.
IP Counsel
Dr. Erica Pascal is the founder of Ingensity™ IP, P.C., which specializes in providing IP strategy for life sciences start-up companies in the areas of biotech, pharmaceuticals, diagnostics, food & nutrition, agriculture and medical devices.
Prior to the creation of Ingensity IP, she was a partner at a major global law firm.
Dr. Pascal began her career in science studying the control of gene expression.
She received her B.S. degree in biology from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology. She obtained a Ph.D. in biochemistry and molecular biology from the University of California at Berkeley. Dr. Pascal conducted her post-doctoral work at the University of Illinois and then worked for 8 years in research and management in the biotech industry. Following these 15+ years in science, Dr. Pascal transitioned to patent law, completed her J.D. degree and then clerked for the district court in the Southern District of California.
